Best Evidence Yet That Black Holes Exist - Sky & Telescope
In the continuing bluster of non scientifical non evidence, Co-Author John Kormendy from the University of Texas at Austin, tells us how some numbers were made up to prove a non working theory about whether what lies at the center of the M87 Galaxy is a massive object with a surface or if it is indeed a mythical Black Hole.
The First step was "measuring the amount of material" falling into M87, I'm afraid to read how they believe this to have been accomplished. But that really doesn't matter for the slight of hand that comes next requires no real science at all.
The Second step was to make up a magnitude of brightness that an "equally massive object with a 'surface'" would have. I.E. They made up a number higher than the Magnitude already known for M87 so that it would 'prove' their 'working' theory.'
Third and finally they pretend to just now check the brightness of M87 to compare it to the made up number, when all you really have to do is turn your Google Microphone on and say:
"Ok Google, What is the magnitude of the M87 Galaxy?"
Google Voice will reply:
"Messier 87 has a magnitude of 9.59"
So the 'Third Step' was known going in and the control number was made up. And just for good science, ten dollar words like "stuff" and "splash" were thrown around to support the third rate science this country is paying for.
Go peddle this crap to the sheeple who need more wool over their eyes.
